When life gives you lemons, make lemonade... or lemon meringue pie...or lemon poppyseed bread...or lemon cookies! What a great saying. Lemons are often given a bad rap... a car is a lemon so we need the lemon law. But lemons are an amazing fruit. Not only do they add such a wonderful flavor to so many good foods, they are used to produce citric acid which is used in many things including soft drinks and in cleaning products. Now, you may be asking, why are you writing about lemons? Good question and I am not sure I really know. Except that sometimes it feels like lemons are on the menu and that nothing is going the way it seems it should. But when this happens, we must always remember that the Lord is truly in control. So rather than thinking of lemons as bad things that come our way, we need to remember that lemons are an amazing gift from God and are used in so many ways to enrich our lives and make them better.
