Enter stage right- 2009

"All the world's a stage and all the men and women are merely players."  So says Shakespeare.  Well, 2009 has entered the stage and it will be interesting to see how it plays out.  Frankly, for me, it entered with a whisper since I didn't see the ball drop or hear any of the numerous fire crackers and bottle rockets that were exploding around us that night.  I was tucked snugly into bed and was enjoying the blissful sleep of the very tired.  But with all of the world events happening right now- Middle East tensions, inflation, bank problems, unemployment heading up, stocks heading down, the government bailing out everyone- I think 2009 promises to be an interesting, maybe trying, year.  Thankfully, we can sleep peacefully knowing that the Lord is in control and that none of this is taking Him by surprise.  We, as believers, can enjoy the security of knowing that we are sitting under the protection of His wing.  I, for one, am glad to be there.  It makes the future look brighter and allows me to say with confidence, "He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved." Ps. 62:2

Amen!!!! 2008 was a year of trials and blessings and even miracles, and it will be interesting to see what God has in store for each of us in 2009. For you, I am praying a complete, total victory over cancer and a perfect bill of health. That will be a wonderful miracle for sure!!! C

Indeed, 2008 was interesting but do think 09 will be more so. As you said it all started to unravel in the last part of 08. 2009 will have plenty of twists and turns, but the Lord will sustain us in perfect order. I did see the ball fall and then headed straight to bed, but no matter if you see the new year come in or not it still comes. The difference maybe you were bright eyed and rested the next morning and the rest of us were groggy until after noon.

Wishing you a great year, filled with health and strengh
