12 and counting

Well, I have completed twelve of 33 radiation treatments.  Enough so that I am now an old hat at it and a source of information.  I had a lady today who was waiting for treatment (her second one) ask me how I felt right now since her twelfth treatment would put her right at Christmas and she is usually the one who fixes the main dishes for her family of 20 people.  She wanted to know if she would have enough energy to fix it.  Well, I feel pretty good right now, but honestly, I wouldn't want to be responsible to cook a turkey and other main dishes for a large gathering.  Because I know that you don't just cook for a gathering, but you have to clean for the gathering and quite frankly, just sweeping the house makes me have to sit down for a while.  And I'm a youngin' compared to most of the ladies I converse with while I wait for treatment.  So, that was my advice, take it easy and enjoy the season.  Accept the generosity of others who offer to do the hard stuff.  They are a blessing!
