Me: Isn't it ironic...I've had all the symptoms the books list and yet...my hair is still firmly sitting on my head.
Husband: Well, it looks like it could be thinning a little.
Daughter: No, it still looks so pooffy and full...I don't think it's thinning.
Me: No, seriously, I can even pull on it and it is still firmly attached...(said while putting my fingers into my hair and pulling tightly)
Me: (Looking at a good clump of hair clasped between my fingers...) HUH! Well, that's something!

Here we go: So, I was sitting at the dinner table with my husband and daughter...yada yada yada.....I think we'll go to pick up that wig on monday ;)
Oh Carla, It is so wonderful to hear you make lite of something so traumatic. I laughted so hard. I guess those scarfs will be used after all. Keep your spirits up. Just hope you feeling better. I think a trip to the Wig Salon is in order.
Economad and Gator-G are having their nightly devotions over Blogger space. Yes, it helps us to know what we need to pray about. It works~ It's been a long day for Economad, more than for me. I just continue to complain about him having to wipe down the whole house to remove sticky dew off all the tiles when HD should have someone doing it. I need him to do MY jobs, not theirs. I have 2 days left of honey-dos and there is more than any ECONOMAD MAN can do. My life's story. Okay ME, when can we come visit again? Would this coming weekend work either Saturday or Sunday. Rhetorman, when do you guys head back to TN? We so want to give our 2 cents about this wig thing. Blonde? Redhead? Orange? Variegated? Mom's stepping out in character these days with an burnt orange couch, why can't you with orange hair? Well, Economad has to be up early to go "wax on, wax off" the tile so we better retire. I'm stripping the 2nd bathroom wallpaper so he can get the cabinet in. Nathan is in town but can't move in yet because he doesn't have a bathroom yet. We are so excited, he is back in Gainesville, enrolled full time at Santa Fe College. He already has a job that he started today full time until school starts. We are blessed. We have missed him these past 2 years.
Nite nite...and God bless~
Oh, Me!!! I can exactly hear the HUH! I read your blog to M, and we both laughed, and he said that was a hilariously positive way of putting it. Hopefully the rest of it "letting go" will be quick and easy and not too messy.
A friend of ours was dressing for a wedding when hers decided to depart. She came, looking beautiful, in a wig, and none of us had any idea what she had gone through moments before.
Thanks for the laugh! We love you all. C
I think you have a wonderful and positive outlook on this, not to many women would get a hearty chuckle from it. If you want a wig and it makes you feel better go for it. I guess it is something that everyone wonders about, how would i look without my hair and what is my head shaped like.
Sounds like you have some scarves, but if you want to try the Amish look i can get you a traditional outfit complete with bonet.
Keep laughing!!!

Hair, it falls out, it turns grey and then what. Think about it this way, you will save on shampoo and time with doing your hair. I have seen a lot of beautiful women loose thier hair and they are still beautiful. You are one of those women. Hang tough, I will shave my head and go through this with you.
