Blessings this week!

Well, I am still alive and starting to feel better.  It has been a week but the Lord has allowed me to see blessings that I simply must share.
1.  I am a blessed daughter!  It was so wonderful to get back and my parents had fixed a marvelous meal: roast, potato and carrots, green beans, and jello with cool whip...Yum! it was a blessing being able to see them and because I was able to eat everything and taste it.  (it was delicious!)
2.  I was able to enjoy a wonderful breakfast with my parents this morning: fried eggs (I ate almost two of them!) toast, bacon, and waffles (couldn't do the waffles but I am sure they were good!).  What a blessing!
3.  I got to enjoy some good laughs with my daughter.  She is a marvel...she has the uncanny ability to be able to find the humor in things and be able to make me laugh when there just didn't seem to be any reason to laugh- which helped to make me forget that I felt so bad.  It is a gift and makes me realize that she is wise beyond her years.
4.  My wonderful husband took such good care of me. He knew intuitively what I needed- a good cry, a laugh, a hug, a good nap, a chikfila chicken biscuit, whatever I thought would help, he was there with it.  And believe me, it takes a lot to have the patience of Job when someone is sick.  He cannot possibly know how much it means to me.
5.  I received phone calls and cards (and some wonderful lemon tea) from my family and my husband's family that always seemed to come at a time when I was feeling lowest. The reminder that they were praying was an elixir to my spirit.  What a blessing!
It is not hard to see the blessings that the Lord lavishes us with even during a difficult time.  I am a blessed woman.  Thank you, family, for walking this path with me.  It makes the unbearable bearable and the difficult easier to handle.

I am so glad that you are doing better. There is just something soothing like a good cup of tea. If that is what helps, we can send it over by the truck loads.
I am here, trying to stay out of your way but will come over at the drop of a hat. All you have to do is let me know.
Glad that you are doing better this week with Fay coming to town. The last thing you want is also an unwanted visitor.

Love you and praying for you :)
