1. I like the way the Welsh keep track of birthdays. Instead of saying 51, for instance, they say, "Eleven on forty." I know this because my "ten on twenty" daughter told me that it makes her feel better to still be "in her twenty's." So I will be in my forties for a long time yet. I like that!
2. I want to say again, right here, right now...that I truly dislike (hate even comes to mind) office politics. I like knowing that my life does not revolve around my work. It is what I do to keep me busy and to be productive. I like that!
3. It is that time of year again! Soccer season starts at school very soon and...dare I say it... football is in the air. That means that the atmosphere will start to take on a snap and I will get to pull out my fleece. Folding chairs will take up permanent residence in the back of the car, ready to be hauled out in a moment to enjoy the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat. I'm pulling for the former, but either way...I enjoy this time of year! I like that!
4. Hobb Knobbing with the goober smoochers has never been my forte. The more I do it, the more I realize that it is really more fun just to sit and watch the show that many people put on than to be an active participant. I have earned the right to sit and watch. I like that!
5. Oh yes, number five...when the "siblings" take on the "parentals" in a game of cards, it is much more fun to win than to come in second. It was like the planets aligning and the age of aquarius being ushered in. I like that!
